The Autrey family began landscaping over 40 years ago when David Autrey (Sr.) started doing local jobs to support his wife & 5 sons. Then, as the years went by, he began working on larger jobs and expanded into other areas of Western North Carolina. As he began to focus more on his wholesale nursery business, he decided to turn over the reins to two of his sons, David (Jr.) and Chris. So in 1995, they bought all the equipment & tools and incorporated the business into what is now known as Autrey Tree & Landscaping Co., Inc. Over the years, they have expanded the services offered and the number of employees to be able to service a larger client base. In January 2006, Adam Banks become a part-owner with David & Chris. David's wife, Sherri, has been with the company since 1995 as the Office & Financial Manager. And Chris's son, Jake, joined the company in 2019 as a member of the landscaping team.
As a company, we are very thankful for all that we have been blessed with over the years, so we believe in giving back to the community. Through the years, we have taken time out along the way to volunteer our services, materials, etc. to special projects, such as landscaping a Habitat for Humanity home, installing an outdoor learning center for a local school, supporting local elementary school & high school athletics & outdoor projects, etc.
Having been rooted in family values, our goal is to operate with integrity and to provide the best quality work possible while maintaining outstanding customer relations. We also strive to provide landscapes that complement the surrounding natural environment, not compete with it.
